Moby Dick

It is a heavy Sativa strain made from a cross between White Widow and some Haze.  This strain has a unique design for medical use with a THC count as high as 27%. It also produces an intense psychoactive effect resulting from the high level of tetrahydrocannabivarin, i.e., THCV.

While it is more known for its sizeable dominant Sativa traits, it also has some Indica-dominant phenotype. Its 75% Sativa to 25% indica genetic ratio makes it one of the most potent Sativa strains. The idea for Moby Dick originally came from two scientists in Amsterdam.

It is highly potent and has enormous growth. This strain is a favourite for cultivators because it produces a high yield and is a joy to plant. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors. For indoor growth, it will need a lot of room and ground space to thrive. It’s also an extreme resistance to diseases and moulds. It is an overall healthy strain and only takes about 9-10 weeks to grow.

Moby Dick has more effects on the mind than the actual body. It is known for putting the consumer in a pleasant euphoric state.  It also gives a feeling of happiness, contentment and a sudden burst of excitement. It brings a highly cerebral buzz that inspires much creative thought. This high lasts for about an hour until the effects start to wear off, leaving you very relaxed.

Appearance

It has a dense, thick appearance common to Sativa dominant strains. From a distance, the bud resembles a small earthy rock. It has a nice bright green colour with orange hairs appearing everywhere. There’s almost as much orange as some green on the nug, and it blends very nicely. It has a super compact mature looking nug, well-trimmed without many extra leaves. The lime green colour mixed with tons of vibrant orange hairs makes this strain a real looker.

Aroma

The aroma is a real treat with an enjoyable, refreshing smell. It smells like a bright summer day with its tangy, citrus, earthy scent. It comes with a lot of limonene terpene with makes it smell wonderful. Even the smell is enough to put you in a good mood.

Flavour

It tastes very similar to the smell, and the citrus flavour is much stronger. There are also some traces of creamy sweet vanilla flavour to balance out the sharp lemon flavour. It produces a nice medium-heavy-bodied smoke at first puff. It leaves a slight scratching feeling at the back of the throat, but it isn’t too harsh.

Common Usage

Since it is primarily for medical use, Moby dick has many healing effects. It’s a great anxiety reliever that helps to remove feelings of stress and panic. It has more pronounced effects on the mind than the physical body. So people using this strain to manage pains and body spasms have to use a higher dosage to feel the effects. It also helps to build appetite and is popularly used to treat anorexia.

Side Effects

Minor Side Effects may occur from too much intake. They include; cottonmouth, dehydration, itchy eyes and increased anxiety.
