Originally bred by Shantibaba at Green House Seeds, Black Widow was actually White Widow. Due to some internal issues, Shantibaba left Green House Seeds and joined Mr. Nice Seeds. This is when Shantibaba recreated his White Widow seeds, and named it Black Widow in order to distinguish his strain from GHS (which still sold White Widow). An indica-dominant hybrid, Black Widow gives users the deep relaxation and the lazy couch-lock high that heavy smokers often crave. This strain has a high THC content (22-24%), so some side effects like blood-shot eyes and dry mouth are common.
